Mollie Ann Peavy & Jacob Dean Mayfield

Mollie Ann Peavy and Jacob Dean Mayfield were united in marriage at Spring Hill Baptist Church on June 25, 2016. The Rev. Ronald P. Lambros, uncle of the bride, and David Ryan, brother-in-law of the groom, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kendall Peavy II. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bennett Mayfield of Gadsden, Alabama.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an Allure slim-fitted wedding gown of all over ivory lace with a scalloped lace back opening and multiple keyhole button enclosures. She wore a scalloped lace cathedral-length veil to complement the lace on her gown. She carried a bouquet of cream vendella roses and baby’s breathe designed by Belle Bouquet.
The bride chose her sister, Margaret Ruth Peavy, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Lydia Mayfield Ryan, sister of the groom, of Gadsden; Mary Grace Mayfield, sister of the groom, of Gadsden; Katie Bolt Peavy, sister-in-law of the bride, of Daphne; Sherrill Denise Dahlmann, of Mobile; Logan Johns McConnell, of Mobile; Clair Marie Williams, of Mobile; Ashley Marie Prouty, of Mobile; Katherine Gordan McCormack, of Germantown, Tennessee; Laura Kathryn Van Peursem, of Huntsville; Caroline Patricia Hyde, of Franklin, Tennessee; and Kelsey Elizabeth Brown, of Knoxville, Tennessee. Caroline Elizabeth Hunter and Cooper Thomas Hunter, cousins of the bride, of Dacula, Georgia, served as flower girl and ring bearer.
Mr. Jack Bennett Mayfield, father of the groom, of Gadsden; and John Roberts Mayfield, brother of the groom, also of Gadsden, served as best men. Groomsmen included Thomas Kendall Peavy III, brother of the bride, of Daphne; Riley Dean Akin, cousin of the groom, of Montgomery; William David Catanzaro, of Gadsden; Matthew John Gross, of Gadsden; William Daniel Weaver, of Gadsden; John Kenneth Massey, of Fort Payne; Tanner Harrison McGill, of Mobile; Chad Coleman Sharp, of Gadsden; Hugh Barr Miller V, of Gadsden; and Zachery Shane Willoughby, of Boaz.
Organist Bill Taylor, violnist Wesley Newton, celloist Rebekah Taylor, trumpeter Donald Morris and vocalist Timothy Tolar performed the beautiful music throughout the ceremony.
Following the ceremony, guests attended a reception at the GulfQuest Maritime Museum overlooking the Mobile River at sunset. Tyner’s Catering provided the food, Cakes by Judi created the bride’s four-tiered cake adorned with baby’s breathe and a cross. Mollie and Jacob and their guests were entertained by the band, The Main Attraction, of Atlanta. The night was captured by Irwin Funes Photography.
Mollie and Jacob celebrated their marriage on a honeymoon to the Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres. The couple currently lives in Birmingham where Jacob is attending University of Alabama School of Medicine, and Mollie will be attending UAB in the AMNP program.
